How and Why Should I Use Affirmations 💛

Every day is a new day, so why not start each one with a new thought?

It's time to get inspired, change your thought processes, and start to develop a positive mindset. At Insite Mind, the process we recommend to do this is with affirmations.

A question we get a lot is how do I best use my affirmation cards?

So here is a little explanation!

What are affirmations?

Affirmations are deliberate, positive statements that help us overcome negative thoughts, self-sabotaging behaviours and stubborn beliefs.

We may not be able to control what happens to us in life, but we can change how we view our lives. To do this, we must change our thoughts.

Why should I do affirmations?

Many of us do repetitive exercises to improve our body's physical health and condition.

Affirmations are like exercises for our mind and outlook; these positive mental repetitions can reprogram our thinking patterns so that, over time, we begin to think, and act in a new way.

Negative thoughts can hold us back from what we want in life and they contribute to the negative emotions we experience.

Affirmations may feel uncomfortable at first, but so did riding a bike. You just have to get used to it. It may feel hard at first, but with practice you will get the hang of it.

How do I do affirmations?

How do I do affirmations?

The hardest thing can be coming up with what to say.

That's why we have helped with our oh happy affirmation card packs!

Pick a card from the pack and put it on display. Somewhere you can see it.

Read it and say this to yourself. The more you say it the better, so be sure to repeat the saying throughout the day.

If you can, repeat it aloud.

If not, then in your head is fine.

Be sure to feel what you are saying, so drum up some emotion!

This will help to create a bigger shift in your mindset.

You can also say it to yourself as you look at yourself in the mirror. (You can do this when you brush your teeth!)

Feel free to go through the pack and pick a card that you resonate with on the day, or you can use them in order.

It's up to you.
